This programme is designed to prepare students with SPM, GCE ‘O’ Level, UEC or equivalent qualifications for studies in hospitality and tourism related areas.
The programme aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary for careers in the different hospitality and tourism contexts and at the same time to provide them with a solid base for further study in the hospitality and tourism sector at the degree level.
Students who have completed the DHTM programme may apply for admission on advanced standing to Anglia Ruskin University’s BA (Hons) Business Management or BA (Hons) Marketing, which can be completed entirely at KBU. Alternatively students may opt to further studies in Australia or UK universities through KBU articulation for progression into second year of programme.
Graduates may also be admitted on advanced standing into year 2 of the following programmes:
- BA (Hons) Business Management, Anglia Ruskin University (2 years at KBU)
- BA (Hons) Marketing, Anglia Ruskin University (2 years at KBU)
- BSc (Hons) Tourism & Hospitality Business Management, Sheffield Hallam University (2 years in UK)
- BA (Hons) International Hospitality & Tourism Business Studies, University College Birmingham, UK (2 years in UK)
- BA (Hons) Tourism Business Management, University College Birmingham, UK (2 years in UK)
- Bachelor of Business, majoring in Hotel or Tourism or Event Management, Griffith University (3 semesters in Australia)
- Duration: 2⅓ years at KBU
- Entry Requirements: At least 3 credits in SPM, GCE ‘O’ Level, UEC with 3 credits or equivalent qualifications
- Intake: January, April, May & September
