The language Centre offers the following English and German language programmes:

  • Intensive English Programme (IEP)
    This English programme caters to all your proficiency needs in the English language. You can expect to improve on all the four language skills – listening, speaking, reading and writing, in the shortest possible time with this English course. Your knowledge on grammar and vocabulary will also be polished.
  • Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL)
    There is a huge demand for certified English language teachers all over the world to teach English to speakers of other languages (ESOL teachers). In this era of globalisation and with the increase in international trade, there is an expected increase in the number of people who are proficient in speaking, reading and writing English.By being a certified English teacher, a world of opportunities is open to you in the area of language teaching.
  • German Language (Carl Duisberg Centren, Germany) short course
    Carl Duisberg Centren (CDC) is a non-profit organisation and one of the leading service providers in the field of further education and personal development as well as study programmes based in Cologne, Germany. CDC has more than 40 years of experience in adult education and an extensive network of representatives and partners around the globe.CDC works with KBU to deliver the Intensive German language programme by providing native German lecturers to teach in the programme. By the end of the German language course, students would have achieved Level 4 of the CDC German language course.
  • IELTS Preparatory Course
  • This preparatory class offers 48 hours of intensive preparation for the IELTS Test. It is designed to familiarize students with the types of tasks typically found in the IELTS Test. It deals with strategies required in the IELTS examination.
