The 2 and half- year programme is designed to expose students to the principles and practice of mechatronics.

The syllabus focuses mainly on the delivery of principles and practices that may integrate disciplines in mechanical and electronic engineering, as well as computing. Students will also acquire work skills and develop a broad understanding and knowledge of the engineering industry.

Career opportunities

Upon completion of the programme, graduates can work as test technicians, research and development assistants, technical representatives, engineering site technicians, junior engineers and production technicians especially in the field of manufacturing, and process & control industries.
Duration: 2 1/2 years at KBU
Entry requirements: 3 relevant credits in SPM/ GCE ‘O’ Level or equivalent qualifications

*All local students are required to take 3 MQA Compulsory Subjects that include Bahasa Kebangsaan A, Malaysian Studies, and Islamic Studies (for Muslims) or Moral education (for non-Muslims). Malaysian students are required by MQA to pass all these 3 subjects to qualify for their awards. MQA Compulsory Subjects are optional for all International Students.
